The ICT has the authority of issuing a “tourism declaration” for companies and activities that meet the requirements included in the Regulations on Tourism Companies and Activities.
Tourism in Costa Rica
In Costa Rica, the tourism industry is regulated and supervised by the Costa Rica Tourism Institute (ICT), which establishes the conditions, prices, and classification of establishments engaged in tourism activities.

The Costa Rican Government has enacted a series of tax incentives to promote development of tourism activities in the country.
